A group of Liverpool fans have been discussing a recent post from the club in which they confirm they will be producing and delivering 650 meals to locals (via liverpoolfc.com). The club’s catering staff will be preparing the meals and will provide a range of options to ensure they also accommodate those with special dietary requirements.
Liverpool haven’t played a fixture since their UEFA Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid in mid-March, and given there is still no official confirmation around whether or not the season will continue, the club have decided to concentrate their efforts on serving the local community.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses these fans are extremely proud of their club’s actions. The Reds were closing in on their first-ever Premier League title when the season was suspended and there is much uncertainty around whether or not the competition will continue behind closed doors, if at all. Whatever is decided, it’s great to see the club doing their bit in response to the current health crisis in the meantime.
