A group of Liverpool fans have been responding to a recent Twitter post by their goalkeeper Adrian. The 33-year-old, who signed for the club last summer from West Ham United on a free transfer shared an image from training as the players returned to Melwood after a unanimous vote in which the league’s participants agreed to return to small group sessions.
Adrian, who has deputised for Alisson in the Liverpool goal on 11 occasions in the top flight this season, has conceded 10 league goals and managed two clean sheets in 873 minutes of Premier League football (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
According to WhoScored.com, his average performance rating currently stands at an underwhelming 6.33/10 and is even lower in the UEFA Champions League where he has achieved a score of 5.87/10. Liverpool’s last competitive fixture was the defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in which his ‘catastrophic blunder’ arguably cost his side the chance to progress.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have responded to the Spaniard’s post.

What do we think?
The players returning to small group training sessions feels like the first step towards a return for the Premier League and so naturally the Reds fans are excited. The club are on course to win their first league title since the 1989/90 season and in our view, it’s great to see some positivity towards Adrian following much criticism after the club’s Champions League exit.
