Many Liverpool supporters have flocked to Twitter to wish former midfielder Graeme Souness a happy birthday. The club dedicated a post to their former star via their Twitter account, who celebrates his 67th birthday today.
Souness made 359 appearances for the Reds and scored 55 goals (via lfchistory.net). The former Scotland international won five league titles, four League Cups and three European Cups during his time at Anfield. Later on, he returned to the Merseyside club as manager and led the team to FA Cup glory in 1992.
Here is how some of the club’s supporters have responded to the post.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that Graeme Souness is still adored by the Anfield faithful. He has been referred to by some as the general and others referenced his recent run-in with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Putting that all to one side, in our opinion, he is one of the greatest midfielders ever to wear the famous red kit and you only need to take a glance at his list of honours to substantiate that view.
