A group of Liverpool fans have been discussing Dejan Lovren’s social media activity. The Croatian international has been seen to promote well-known conspiracy theorist David Icke and his thoughts on the current health crisis (as per Empire of the Kop).
In addition to that, the 30-year-old has been tweeting the world’s richest man, Bill Gates, suggesting he has some sort of involvement in the viral outbreak that has seen the Premier League suspended and many sadly lose their lives.
Fans have been reacting to this by commenting on @empireofthekop’s post on Twitter:
Please please sell him hes usless defender and now it seems hes bonkers as well we dont need this at Liverpool so please get rid

What do we think?
It’s clear that these supporters are less than impressed by their defender’s recent social media activity. Lovren has been limited to just nine appearances in the Premier League this season and it is well documented that the player wanted to leave last summer (as per Sportske Novosti via the Daily Mail).
When he has played, he has averaged a respectable performance rating of 7.14/10 according to WhoScored.com, but the fact he is out of favour, combined with his questionable opinions, has seen his popularity plummet even further based on the above responses.
