A group of Liverpool fans have been reacting to the report from Marca, which claims the club are interested in Sevilla’s Diego Carlos. The 27-year-old is a central defender and according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, he is valued at £28.8m.
The Brazilian joined the club last summer in a deal reportedly worth £13.5m from the French outfit Nantes and he’s since gone on to represent Sevilla on 31 occasions. Carlos has played 25 times in La Liga this season and has scored twice in the fixtures versus Leganes and RCD Mallorca (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
According to WhoScored.com, his average performance rating in the league this season currently stands at 6.87/10 and his strengths are in his ability to make vital blocks and displaying strong levels of concentration.

What do we think?
This report appears to have gathered a mixed reaction. Some have expressed that they would be happy to see the club sign the defender whereas others aren’t convinced of the accuracy of the story or openly admit they have no knowledge of the Brazilian. Given Dejan Lovren has openly admitted he wanted to leave last summer, we could see him move on and as a result, Liverpool dip into the market for a central defender.
