A group of Liverpool supporters have been discussing the club’s 2018/19 away kit after @empireofthekop shared an image of the players modelling it on Twitter with the following caption: “Unpopular opinion: this kit was boss.”
Here is what a sample of the Anfield faithful has had to say in response to the post on social media.
That’s not unpopular, that kit was brilliant

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that this kit divided opinion amongst the supporters. As of the start of the 2020/21 campaign, Liverpool will no longer be wearing New Balance kits. The club has agreed a deal with Nike which has been described by sports marketing expert Alan Seymour as “brilliant” (as per the Evening Standard).
It’s estimated the club could earn up to £100m per season from the agreement with the American sportswear giant. However, at the moment, the priority for all the Premier League clubs is to find a safe way of playing out the remainder of the campaign after it was put on hold due to the health crisis. The Reds are just two wins away from being crowned as the champions of England for the first time since the 1989/90 season.
