A group of Liverpool supporters have been reacting to the Premier League’s recent statement, which has been shared via the club’s official website. It has been announced that the 20 clubs have voted unanimously to resume contact training, which brings the return of Premier League football a step closer.

The development means that squads are now permitted to train as a group and engage in tackles as long as all unnecessary close contact is kept to a minimum. Although a date for its return is yet to be officially confirmed, it is thought that the authorities are hoping to see the league make a comeback on June 19 if the conditions allow it.

What do we think?

At the time of the league’s suspension, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were just two games away from being crowned Premier League champions for the first time. The Anfield club holds a commanding 25-point lead over last season’s champions Manchester City, and although any title celebrations are likely to be somewhat low-key without a large gathering of people, it’s clear that many of these fans will be relieved to see their team play their remaining fixtures.
