Liverpool are planning to offer Sadio Mane a new deal that is likely to see him end his career at Anfield, according to Football Insider. It’s understood the club are aware of Real Madrid’s interest in the winger and will move to tie him down for the longer term.
The £108 million-rated Senegalese star’s current contract still has until June 2023 to run (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) but it seems the Reds are keen on ensuring the player remains on Merseyside beyond that. Mane has made 38 appearances in all competitions this season for Jurgen Klopp’s side, scoring 18 goals and providing 12 assists so far.
Here is how some of the club’s supporters have responded to the latest update regarding the 28-year-old’s future.
Mane has already proved his worth in the team. He should be paid the same as Salah

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Liverpool fans are keen to see Sadio Mane’s stay extended beyond his current contract’s expiration date. Liverpool signed the player in July 2016 for £37.08m from Southampton and since his arrival, he’s played 161 times, scored 77 goals and provided 34 assists (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
To highlight his importance to this current side, his average performance rating in the Premier League this season currently stands at an impressive 7.5/10 (via WhoScored.com), making him the club’s most consistent performer ahead of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
