In the article, Pearce claimed: “The lack of natural cover for left-back Andy Robertson is often flagged as a weakness in the squad but vice-captain James Milner can deputise there and academy graduates Adam Lewis and Yasser Larouci are also options.”

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Pearce’s comments.

Robertson has been a regular figure in Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season having made a total of 41 appearances across all competitions for the Reds (per Transfermarkt).

This latest revelation from Pearce didn’t go down too well with some Liverpool fans who think that the club should try and sign another left-back to provide cover for Robertson.

It seems that these Liverpool fans are not convinced that Milner, Lewis nor Larouci are good enough to be a suitable backup for Robertson.
