A group of Liverpool fans have been reacting to the club’s recent Twitter post which features an image of Takumi Minamino back in training. The Japanese winger joined the Reds from RB Salzburg in January in a deal reportedly worth £7.65m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
The players returned to the Melwood training facility earlier this week after the Premier League’s clubs voted unanimously for the resumption of training in small groups. Minamino has made seven appearances for the Merseyside giants to date, playing a total of 329 minutes of football – but is yet to register a goal or an assist.
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have responded to the image of their Japanese international.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans are hopeful Minamino can prove himself at Anfield. Prior to his arrival in the Premier League, he scored 64 goals and provided 44 assists in 199 appearances for RB Salzburg (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), so he certainly has previous that suggests he can deliver for the Reds.
