What do we think?
Since joining Everton from Fulham back in 2016, the former Netherlands international has gone on to make just 26 appearances for the club, conceding a total of 31 goals and keeping seven clean sheets.
The reports regarding Stekelenburg’s departure from the club come despite the Premier League’s recent statement which confirms that players’ contracts that are due to end on 30th June can be extended until the completion of the current Premier League season.
However, this does not seem to have bothered fans of Everton, many of whom appear delighted to hear that Stekelenburg is set to leave the club at the earliest possible opportunity.
