Fans of Everton have been airing that they do not want John Stones to return from Manchester City after Noel Whelan claimed that Newcastle would face competition from the Toffees for his signature.
Former Premier League footballer Noel Whelan, as reported by Football Insider, has insisted that Newcastle United would have a “fight on their hands” from the Toffees to sign the centre-back after The Telegraph linked the Toon with Stones. This left the Goodison Park faithful discussing the player (via @ToffeeTVEFC).

Not for me. He can’t turn without falling over. Might bring ball out from back but in midfield he’s already out and loses it too many times.

No. Not improved since he left.

The English defender left Goodison Park for City in the summer of 2016, when the Manchester club paid a whopping £47.5 million to acquire his services (per BBC), but fans are not keen on the idea of a homecoming.
He gives the opposition one really good chance every game.

No thanks – gifts a goal per game on average. Hyper wages and spends to much time in the treatment room and newspapers!

Would you be pleased if the Toffees re-signed John Stones from Manchester City?Yes, would be a good signingNo, he's not good enough |
This season, Stones has been the sixth-worst performer for Pep Guardiola’s outfit in the Premier League with a 6.68/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
Furthermore, despite the 26-year-old being a centre-back, he has made only seventh-most tackles per league game on average in City’s squad (1.2) and only the 14th-most interceptions per game (0.7) (per WhoScored).
Not a chance. Not even on a free!!!

Nope. He can’t defend.

As can be seen in these responses from Everton supporters, they are desperate for Carlo Ancelotti to not attempt to bring the defender back to Merseyside from Manchester.
