Supporters of Everton have taken to social media to slate the club’s former striker Romelu Lukaku after being asked how he will be remembered.
On Tuesday morning, @thetoffees_com posed the question to fans over how the Belgian would be remembered at Goodison Park, which led many fans to slate the 27-year-old striker.

I’ll only answer through the Belgian press during an International break…

Don’t care how good he was for us. We gave him a huge life line and he cut it. Thought he was bigger than the team he played with. Can’t forgive him for that.

Picked his games and choked on the big occasions.

Are these Everton supporters being overly harsh on Romelu Lukaku?Yes, he outgrew usNo, they're bang-on |
During his time at Goodison Park, Lukaku netted a whopping 87 goals and 29 assists in 166 appearances (per Transfermarkt).
However, after @thetoffees_com posed the question over how Lukaku would be remembered in Merseyside, many seemed to disregard his goalscoring record with Everton.

What do we think?
As can be seen in these responses from Everton supporters, they clearly do not look back at Lukaku’s time with the club fondly despite his impressive goalscoring record.
With a huge 116 goal involvements in 166 appearances for the Toffees (per Transfermarkt), though, these Everton fans may be better served remembering what he did for the club prior to his departure.
