Fans of Everton have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays the latest news on Everton defensive midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
In the post, the official Everton Twitter account shared a link to an interview with Gbamin, in which the 24-year-old stated that he believes he is ready to return to first-team action, having been sidelined since last August with a quadriceps injury.
In reaction to the news, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that Gbamin’s return is like having a new signing, while others have commented on the potential that they believe the midfielder possesses.
Will Jean-Philippe Gbamin be the best midfielder that the Toffees have when fit?
Yes, he seems quality
No, he's not that good
? l "I feel good, fully recovered and I am ready. We are taking it slowly because it was a big injury, but I can’t wait to play."
Jean-Philippe Gbamin has stepped up his rehab and is confident of playing a part in #EFC’s run-in should the 2019/20 @premierleague season resume.

When he gets used to the pace of the premier league i reckon he will become a real player for the blues. He could eventually even play centre half if needed..

Will be like a new signing. Just hope this injury hasn’t knocked his confidence

What do we think?
After joining Everton from Mainz for a fee of £22.5 million last summer, Gbamin’s injury has meant that the defensive midfielder has only played two Premier League matches for the Toffees so far this season.
However, despite his lack of game time in an Everton shirt, it would appear that the majority of these fans are very much looking forward to seeing the Ivory Coast international get back out on the pitch.
