Supporters of Everton have been reacting to one of the latest reports on the Premier League’s plans to finish the 2019/20 season.
According to the League Managers Association chief executive Richard Bevan, the season could be cancelled if clubs do not agree to play at neutral venues (per BBC), which Everton fans reacted to when it was shared to Twitter (via @TheGwladysSt).

Are you for or against the season resuming play at neutral venues? For, it's the only wayAgainst, it's a silly idea |
In his interview with the BBC, Bevan went on to state that “time isn’t on our side and training needs to be in place very soon” for a return to action by a planned date of 12th June.
However, after the news that the season could be cancelled if clubs do not agree to play in neutral venues was shared to supporters on Twitter (via @TheGwladysSt), Everton fans continued airing their opinions.
It should be cancelled. Football exists for the fans, if they can’t attend, games shouldn’t take place. Would be great to see Everton make a stand

Where is the fan consultation from the kings of consultations

Home advantage is literally the only thing that gets points on the board for us. Why would any club risk relegation or a European place by agreeing to the ridiculous plans being thrown around. Just give them the title and throw the league in the bin to save the crying

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from these Everton supporters, it is clear that many are wishing for the season to be cancelled anyway, although some do not believe that it will be.
As stated in the BBC’s report, the neutral stadium proposal will need 14 out of the 20 clubs to vote in favour of it for it to be adopted, which could be likely as Brighton and Hove Albion are the only club openly “not in favour” of the idea so far.
