Fans of Everton have been flocking to a Twitter post from the Toffees’ Brazilian attacker Richarlison which mentioned Romelu Lukaku.
On Wednesday, it was Lukaku’s 27th birthday and the club posted an image of the Belgian to mark the occasion. After Richarlison then responded with ‘come back’, lots of fans flocked to the tweet (per Richarlison).

Would Romelu Lukaku and Richarlison be the best striking partnership that Everton have ever had?Yes, would be amazingNo, we've had better |
Despite the Brazilian’s plea, the two players never played together for the Toffees, with Lukaku having departed for Manchester United in 2017 (per BBC) and Richarlison having arrived from Watford in 2018 (per BBC).
However, lots of Everton supporters continued airing their reactions to Richarlison’s tweet on their former striker’s birthday.
Practically a done deal now ??? Richy is amazing! ???

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, they loved Richarlison’s tweet and also the idea of the Brazilian pairing up with the Belgian at Goodison Park.
With Lukaku having netted 87 goals in 166 Everton appearances (per Transfermarkt) and Richarlison bagging 26 in 70 outings for the Toffees (per Transfermarkt), it seems that the two could be quite the goalscoring duo.
