Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to recent comments made by former Liverpool player and manager Sir Kenny Dalglish.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that contained an article from the Birmingham Mail, which relayed Dalglish’s comments originally to Sky Sports.
The 69-year-old, who recently recovered after falling ill during the current outbreak, claimed that he “can’t see a problem” with playing the remaining Premier League games at neutral venues.
Dalglish added: “If you look at the teams, the ones that have been quite vociferous in their complaints, they’ve only won four or five games in the season anyway. They’ve not won that many. Wherever they play, it’s going to be difficult for them to win games. But if they could play them it would be better for everybody. It’s more credible as well and financially, they are going to take a big hit because the television companies aren’t going to want them to get away without letting the games be on television.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to share their thoughts on the situation.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Home advantage as always played a huge part in football, it’s a no brainer look at the big picture.

Is playing the remaining PL games at neutral venues a good idea?

14 clubs voted against it, Ken. Now toddle off please.

Yea but playing at ‘ neutral ‘ venues means both teams traveling… ?
Health and safety should be the priority and all these having a pop at Villa… I wonder if they’d feel the same if the tables were turned… ?— Jules (@Julie39851419) May 14, 2020
What do we think?
It appears that these Villa fans are still against the idea of the final Premier League games being played behind closed doors.
