Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments from former Leeds United and Middlesbrough striker Noel Whelan.
This comes after Villa-focused Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail relaying Whelan’s comments to Football Insider.
In response to Villa manager Dean Smith revealing to Sky Sports that he could be missing two of his players should the Premier League return in the near future due to the current global pandemic, Whelan claimed that these two players in question could find Smith’s comments ‘disrespectful’.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on Whelan’s opinion.

It seems as though these Villa fans are not particularly happy with Whelan’s comments. Whether the two players Smith was referring to found their manager’s comments disrespectful or not is unknown, but in regards to Whelan, it appears as though these Villa fans are not too concerned with what he has to say about the club.
