Is Christian Benteke Villa's best transfer of the PL era?
Yes
No
The Belgian first signed to the club back in 2012 from KRC Genk for a fee of £7.92 million (per Transfermarkt). During his time at Villa Park, Benteke made a total of 101 appearances for Villa in which he managed to score 49 goals and provide 12 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt). Now that these comments from Benteke have been doing the rounds on Twitter, this sparked a big reaction from Villa fans.
Had to leave when he did, we possibly should’ve gone in for him in the summer.

What do we think?
It’s nice to see Benteke appreciating his time at Villa and the pride he had in signing for the club. The response to these comments from this group of Villa fans just goes to show how much they still admire their former striker.
