What do we think?
An article that was published by BirminghamLive back in 2008 described Robson as “surely the most celebrated player to be associated with Albion”. This article also provides detail on some of the adversity that Robson had to overcome in order to succeed as a professional footballer, explaining that the former Baggies man had to overcome “three broken legs as a youngster”, before going on to have a career that would lead to Robson being described by Ron Atkinson as “the greatest player of his generation”.
It may be fair to say that Robson went on to forge a successful career in football, winning one FA Cup, one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, three English League Cups and two Premier League titles in his career.
Considering the success that he managed to achieve in the game, it may be understandable why some Baggies supporters may hold Robson in high regard.
