Injuries… If he had been injury free he would play in the Premier League and not for us, but he was probably the best striker we have had since hirst /bright /dicanio times. Great player

What do we think?
Only one Wednesday player has scored more than five goals thus far in the 2019/20 Championship season. Hooper scored more goals than that in three of his four Championship campaigns at Hillsborough, only scoring fewer goals than that in his final season as a Wednesday player, the 2018/19 campaign. However, the attacker made only six league appearances that term, as he “seemed to struggle constantly with injuries” towards the end of his time with the club, as per Yorkshire Live.
With all of that in mind, it may be understandable why some Wednesday fans remember Hooper’s time at the club fondly. Furthermore, it might also be understandable why some Owls fans have declared that their club misses the forward and his goalscoring ability in response to this tweet.
