Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Owls-focused Twitter account @LiveSwfc to share their view that the 2019/20 season should be made ‘null and void’.

This Wednesday-focused Twitter account recently made a post asking Owls supporters how they “want to see the season end”. This post also included a link to an article that was recently published by Yorkshire Live which shared some comments that were made by Garry Monk lately, who has “confirmed that the club’s management staff and players want to finish the 2019/20 season”, as reported by Yorkshire Live.

Monk’s recent comments about the completion of the 2019/20 campaign originally surfaced in a statement that the current Owls manager made via the club’s official website, in which he stated that he would like to “finish this season properly”.

Despite Monk stating that he would like to finish the current season, some Owls fans have shared a different opinion in response to @LiveSwfc’s recent tweet, with some Wednesday supporters sharing that they would like to see the 2019/20 season be made “null and void”, following the current postponement of the professional game in England which is confirmed to continue “until at least 30 April”.

To kick off our quiz on the inaugural 2004/05 EFL Championship campaign, who managed Sunderland to a first-place finish in the 2004/05 Championship season?

What do we think?

Wednesday currently sit in 15th place on the Championship table, eight points away from the playoffs with just nine games left to play in the 2019/20 campaign. With all of that in mind, it may be fair to say that Wednesday may struggle to reach the playoffs this season. As a result, it may be understandable why some Owls supporters have been calling for the league season to be made ‘null and void’ lately, as it may be fair to say that their club may not have a lot left to play for this term.
