What do we think?
During his tenure as player-manager of Rangers, Souness led the club to three Scottish top-flight titles, as well as four Scottish League Cups. Additionally, his Rangers side were “leading the league table with just five games left to play” in the 1990/91 season, when “Souness announced that he had accepted the position of manager at Liverpool”. Rangers would go on to claim the Scottish title once again that season, as stated by the club’s official website.
With all of that in mind, it may be fair to say that Rangers enjoyed some success during Souness’ tenure. As a result, it may not be too surprising that some Gers supporters may have some positive memories of his time at the club, including the nostalgic recollections of this training top from that era.
