Jordan Campbell, who covers both Rangers and the Scottish national team for The Athletic, recently posted a tweet sharing some comments that were made by Gers manager Steven Gerrard, regarding the “SPFL’s handling of the resolution” that was recently approved which ended the 2019/20 season in Scotland’s second, third, and fourth tiers.
As per the SPFL’s official website, this resolution was recently approved “with agreement by 81% of all members” of the SPFL. In addition to concluding the 2019/20 campaign in the three SPFL divisions below the Premiership, this resolution also “gives authority to the board to make a decision on the remainder of the Ladbrokes Premiership season”.
Gerrard’s comments regarding this resolution, which were recently shared by Campbell on Twitter, originated from an interview that the Gers boss recently conducted with Sky Sports. In this interview, the 39-year-old manager voiced his concerns around the SPFL conducting “an internal investigation” into their resolution, stating that “if you mark your own homework, you’re always going to finish top of the class”.
This comment, which was subsequently shared by Campbell on Twitter, was met with agreement from many Rangers supporters. Read the positive reactions of some Rangers fans to Gerrard’s recent comments regarding the SPFL’s resolution in the tweets below.

Steven Gerrard says he wants an independent investigation opened to look into the SPFL's handling of the resolution. Doesn't believe an internal investigation is good enough.
"If you mark your own homework you're always going to finish top of the class," he said.

Hardly an unexpected or surprising stance. But glad he is backing up the club on that platform. Also would have been easy for him to sidestep and say its above its paygrade. Leadership.

The whole league has been shown up as a corrupt tinpot league— Grey Ham Durty (@tailsy2) April 16, 2020
We haven’t but that’s no longer the point, how Celtic fans have been shouting about corruption for years and as soon as there’s actual evidence of it you turn a blind eye because Rangers are pointing it out ????

What do we think?
Considering that Rangers currently sit in second place on the Scottish Premiership table, having not yet played the entirety of their games, it may be understandable why some Gers fans have shared Gerrard’s negative reaction to the SPFL’s recent resolution to begin the conclusion of the 2019/20 season in Scotland.
