Fans of QPR have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which former midfielder Joey Barton comments on some of his memories from his time at the club.
Barton recently appeared on the Football CFB Podcast, in which the 37-year-old discussed his time at QPR, before quote-tweeting a link to the podcast, and commenting:
“By far the most insane (off the field) club I ever played for. Great, loyal supporters who have had it tough for a long time. Never forget Wembley and the R’s fans turning out in full force to make the difference. @Amit_Bhatia99 [Amit Bhatia] always a steady hand within the chaos.”
In reaction to his tweet, fans of QPR flocked to have their say on the matter, with many praising Barton for his contributions to the club, while others commented on the numerous “bad eggs” within the club at the time.

Really good listen that, So many bad eggs at QPR, but Mark Hughes was the main one. Completely ruined everything.

What an amazing pod cast really really enjoyed listening to that, to get an inside view of the turmoil that was going on, fans were blind to what’s was going on but could clearly see there was an issue, top captain you were for the club Mr Barton ?

As a qpr supporter & season tkt holder for way too many years, I really enjoyed that, and I wasn’t part of the boo crowd. Thank you Joey, it was a good listen. Stay well.

What do we think?
Barton fell just short of playing 100 games for QPR, making 99 appearances, in which he scored seven goals and provided eight assists, as well as receiving 31 yellow and four red cards.
However, despite a poor disciplinary record, it would appear that Barton’s commitment to the cause has ensured that many fans of QPR still hold him in high regard.
