Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Forest winger Joe Lolley comments on his first game in the EFL Football Manager Cup, which was available to watch via a live stream on Twitch.

Lolley is representing Forest in the EFL Football Manager Cup, a 54-team knockout tournament organised by Football Manager.

In reaction to his first game, in which Lolley defeated Leeds United 2-1, the 27-year-old posted on Twitter, noting Lewis Grabban’s goal and Matty Cash’s sending-off, saying: “Absolutely delighted with the result, fans were superb throughout. @grabbs22 clinical as ever only needed 6 chances. @mattycash622 will learn from this and be back stronger. We go again.”

What do we think?

While Lolley has obviously impressed fans with his efforts in charge of Forest on Football Manager, the winger has also done so while on the pitch in real life this season.

So far this season, Lolley has made 35 Championship appearances, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists, helping Nottingham Forest to sit fifth in the Championship table.

However, with the football season remaining suspended indefinitely, Forest fans will have to settle for watching their winger have a crack at management on Football Manager.
