Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to footage posted on Twitter, which shows a video of goals scored by former striker Teddy Sheringham, in honour of the 54-year-old’s birthday.

The footage, which was posted by the official Nottingham Forest account on Twitter, highlights some of Sheringham’s best strikes at the club, where he only spent a year of his career.

In reaction, fans of the club have flocked to share their memories of Sheringham at the club, with many stating that the footage has brought back happy thoughts, while others have even claimed that they owe Sheringham a great deal financially, as backing him to score often paid out.

Despite the fact that Sheringham only spent a short time at Nottingham Forest, it is clear from the fans’ comments that he is remembered extremely fondly at the club.

In total, the former England striker scored 14 league goals for Forest, in addition to a further two goals in the FA Cup and five in the League Cup, according to Soccerbase.

As such, his time at Forest was very successful, which goes a long way to explaining the positive impression he left at the City Ground.
