Leeds United currently sit at the top of the Championship with a seven-point lead over those occupying the play-off positions. However, Nottingham Forest’s Matty Cash has fired a warning to Marcelo Bielsa’s side and West Bromwich Albion via a recent interview with Sky Sports (via The Yorkshire Evening Post).
The 22-year-old still retains some hope of his side, led by Sabri Lamouchi, earning automatic promotion. Cash said: “If you win five in a row and Leeds and West Brom lose a couple then you are right in the frame again.”
Here is how some of the Elland Road faithful have reacted to the rival player’s comments on Twitter.
Of the teams that are currently in the top half of the Championship, only 2 have won 5 league games in a row this season, Leeds and West Brom. So……..

Forest haven’t been able to string more than 3 wins in a row all season no chance they will win 5 in a row

And us and West brom both have to lose back to back games plus they’ve got Fulham and Brentford in front of them so their results matter also… ridiculous comment.

What do we think?
Although there are still nine fixtures to be played, it’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds supporters don’t believe Forest have what it takes to capitalise even if the hypothetical wheels were to fall off for Bielsa’s side.
