To kick things off who is this?

The Preston North End manager while speaking to Lancs Live claimed that clubs who have made staff take wage cuts or deferrals shouldn’t be allowed to sign players.

He believes that if a club can’t afford to pay their current players, then they shouldn’t be allowed to use that money to spend on new signings.

Although Neil does not mention Leeds specifically, the Whites voluntarily took pay cuts – so going off what Neil has said, he probably thinks that Leeds should not be allowed to sign anyone in the next window.

Do you agree with what Neil said?

These comments from Preston’s manager have not gone down well with many Whites fans.

What do we think?

Leeds’ first-team players, management team, and coaching staff all took a voluntary pay cut to ensure that Leeds could keep going.

To ban them from signing players in the next window because of that would be a bizarre move, and it is no surprise to see how angry these Leeds fans are with Neil’s suggestion.
