Some Leeds United supporters have been discussing the departures of two of their former heroes, Pontus Jansson and Kemar Roofe. Jansson left Elland Road to join Brentford in July 2019 in a deal reportedly worth £5.54m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and Roofe departed for Belgium in August 2019 to sign for Anderlecht.
The Swedish defender played 120 times for the Whites, scoring nine goals and providing four assists – a respectable return for a central defender. Whilst Roofe, a centre-forward by trade, made 122 appearances, scoring 33 goals and providing 14 assists in the famous shirt.
From the sales of these two players, the club brought in a total of around £10.9m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk but based on the tweet from @lucas_b_2001, these two leaving is something they still regret. Is that feeling shared by more Leeds United fans?
Jansson was tough but now i see that he really didn’t love Leeds that much he acts that way for every club he plays for.. He loves being the hero and fan favorite.. Ego booster

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that most fans felt more disappointed by the departure of Roofe. The 27-year-old scored 14 Championship goals in the 2018/19 season and one in the play-offs making him the club’s top goalscorer that season and a real key player.
