Some Celtic fans have been discussing the latest post involving former player Jorge Cadete recently.
A Hoops fan recently posted an image of Cadete during his time with Celtic. The post said that Cadete was a ‘great player’ and it left like the ‘end of the world’ when the Portuguese star had left Parkhead.
Would you call Cadete a 'badge-kissing chancer'?
Yes, he was
No, he wasn't
On seeing this post, many Celtic fans disagreed. They had some harsh words to say on their former player. One felt that he did well in tough times for the club.
Worked his ticket. Not fondly remembered by me. Same with Di Canio & Van Hoojdonk

Great player but bolted too early , no loyalty whatsoever , actually annoyed ma he was paraded at half time recently , total badge kissing chancer ?

A smashing player for Celtic. Did he ever fulfill his potential elsewhere???

That was a really horrible season. The three amigos were brilliant players but if they were off form we struggled. Too many passengers in the team at that time although some improved under Wim Jansen.

Other Celtic fans made it clear that they wanted to see Cadete play alongside Henrik Larsson, who had joined in the same summer as Cadete’s Hoops departure.
Would love to have seen them play together

The former Hoops star joined Celtic from Brescia in 1995 and was at Parkhead for two years, leaving the club in the summer of 1997 to join Celta Vigo. During his playing days, Cadete also plied his trade with Bradford City and Sporting Lisbon.
What do we think?
Considering Cadete was only at Parkhead for two years, one can see why some Celtic fans may not have liked the way his stint panned out. It seems that some fans would have liked to see him stay a little longer, but the fans should be glad that he graced the Hoops jersey for the time that he did.
