The statement was also shared on Twitter by a number of other Wolves players, such as Matt Doherty, Morgan Gibbs-White and Joao Moutinho.

A post on the club’s official website also revealed that across the first-team squad, manager and technical staff a six-figure donation had been made to the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (per Wolves).

The initiative that was shared by Neves and many other Premier League footballers on Wednesday night (per BBC) is fantastic to see and is the kind of story that people need at what is an undeniably difficult time.

As can be seen in the responses, #PlayersTogether is getting the plaudits that it deserves from Wolves supporters, and that is fantastic to see.
