West Ham United fans have flocked to Twitter to reflect on Sofiane Feghouli’s time as a Hammer.
This comes after West Ham-focused Twitter account @COYIrons_com shared a post on their page calling Feghouli “the most disappointing transfer in a long time.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from West Ham fans who disagreed with this statement on the winger.
Here’s a sample of West Ham fans discussing Feghouli:
Probably the most disappointing transfer in a long time, would you agree? ? #WHUFC

He should have been given more time

Letting him go was more disappointing

Sold him too soon

Did Sofiane Feghouli flop at West Ham?
Yes, he was pretty bad
No, he was decent
The Algerian, who is currently valued at £5.4 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed to the London club back in the 2016 summer transfer window from Spanish side Valencia on a free transfer (per Transfermarkt). During his one and only season in England before moving to current club Galatasaray, Feghouli scored four goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt). Now that this Hammers page has come out and labelled the 30-year-old as a disappointment, this has caught the attention of a lot of West Ham fans who decided to stick up for Feghouli.
Excellent footballer. Comes to mighty West Ham and basically wasted because his face didnt fit the Noble, Snodgrass, Cresswell circus and banter. Played in between the lines with an excellent eye for goal. His stats for Gala and Valencia prove he was a class player.

I thought he was decent. Had some good spells. Could’ve been a great signing if he had the right team/manager around him

Not a chance. Guy was great for us and popped up in big moments

Was so excited about him – felt like he had so much more to give. Gutted when he left!

What do we think?
It’s nice to see so many West Ham fans supporting former flop Feghouli and sharing their nice messages about him. This shows that he left a positive impact on these fans while he was a Hammers player.
