Fans of West Ham United have been reacting to a report on what clubs may do for the remainder of the Premier League season.
According to the Times, a number of clubs are looking at pumping fan noise into stadiums and allowing season ticket holders to purchase cardboard cutouts to place in their seats if the season returns behind closed doors (via West Ham News), which fans reacted to.
A number of Premier League clubs are proposing pumping in fake fan noise into grounds to help players and TV cameras in empty stadiums.
England could follow a German model where season ticket holders can purchase cardboard cutouts to be placed in their seat.

Do you think simulated fan noise and cardboard cutouts in the Premier League is a good idea? No, sounds utterly ridiculousYes, it's better than nothing |
The report on the cardboard cutouts comes after it was revealed by Fanprojekt Monchengladbach (FPMG) that season ticket holders of Borussia Monchengladbach will be paying to have cardboard cutouts of themselves at the ground when the season returns behind closed doors in the Bundesliga (via Sportstar).
So, following the report which suggested that Premier League clubs may be thinking along the same lines (via The Times), West Ham fans continued to air their reactions.
I’ve already paid for my seat I ain’t paying anymore.

What do we think?
As can be judged from the responses from West Ham supporters, many of them either would not want to pay for a cardboard cutout or think the idea is ridiculous.
However, with ESPN having also reported that Bundesliga clubs are booking psychologists to help players prepare to play in front of empty stadiums, perhaps the cutouts and simulated noise may actually help the players on the pitch.
