West Ham United boss David Moyes has been delivering fruit and vegetables to locals in Lancashire in order to help the fight against the viral outbreak that has brought the country to a standstill (via The Guardian).
The 56-year-old returned to his family home and was eager to help in any way he could. The former Manchester United boss has taken a pay cut in order to help his employers deal with the economic impact this pandemic is having and stressed that there are more important things than football.
Here is how some of the West Ham fans have responded to the news on Twitter.
I don’t care about the negatives people say about him. This is a wonderful gesture. Well done. ???

What do we think?
It’s great to see so many of the club’s fans showing their appreciation for Moyes’ efforts but equally, its disappointing to see others taking the opportunity to criticise the Scot. Given the current health crisis, we believe any grievances regarding the way he manages the team should be put to one side for the time being and instead he should be praised for doing good in his local community.
