Spurs fans have been reacting to the reported news that the training session run by Jose Mourinho earlier this week was intended to be a one-on-one session with Tanguy Ndombele.
According to the Daily Mirror (via Talking THFC), the Portuguese manager was keen to work with the French midfielder to work on his fitness, despite the current social distancing guidelines that have been set in place by the government. The 23-year-old has regularly struggled with his fitness since joining from Lyon in a club-record deal during the summer and it seems as if Mourinho is desperate to have the midfielder fully fit in time for whenever the Premier League may return from its current suspension.
The French international has completed 90 minutes just five times for the Lilywhites so far this season and was heavily criticised by Mourinho for his performance in Spurs’ 1-1 draw against Burnley last month.
Do you think Ndombele will be fit by the time the Premier League resumes?
Yes
No

If he can’t keep fit he shouldn’t be a pro footballer. Minimum requirement is being fit. Bomb him out the clown.

And surely there are Spurs fitness coaches who could have done this. Why does one of the most decorated managers in the world need to be in the park telling this guy 1:1 how to do star jumps.

Imagine being so unfit that your manager risks virus exposure to see you’re working out!

These Spurs fans seem baffled that Mourinho has to make sure Ndombele is working out properly and most seem to agree that the Portuguese manager shouldn’t be breaking social distancing guidelines.
What do we think?
Considering the technology that is available to Premier League football clubs, it seems crazy that Mourinho organised a one-on-one session with Ndombele in the park, especially in the current climate. Surely the Frenchman has the facilities available to keep fit in his own house until players are allowed to return to training.
