Spurs fans have been discussing former midfielder Rafael van der Vaart after some footage of the Dutchman emerged on Twitter.
LastWordonSpurs shared some of the creative midfielder’s best goals in a Spurs shirt, as well as some old quotes, in which he was asked what his favourite goal for the North London club was, to which he replied: “Easy – every goal I ever scored against Arsenal!”
Spurs signed the Dutch international from Real Madrid in 2010 and he went on to make 77 appearances for the North London club; contributing 28 goals and 18 assists. He then moved to Hamburg in 2012 and played for a few more clubs before retiring in 2018, but he is clearly still held in high regard by a lot of Spurs fans, judging by their responses to the tweet.
Would you take a prime van der Vaart back in the squad?

These Spurs fans clearly rated Van der Vaart highly and were quick to praise the midfielder after some of his old goals were posted.
What do we think?
Considering van der Vaart was only at Spurs for a couple of seasons, he has clearly made a big impression on these Spurs fans, who are still keen to sing his praises despite it being eight years since he left.
