Spurs fans have been discussing the impact of Ryan Sessegnon in his brief time as a Tottenham Hotspur player.
Spurs fan Joe shared his thoughts on the 19-year-old winger on Twitter, which attracted a lot of supporters of the North London club. Spurs signed the youngster from Fulham in the summer transfer window for around £25 million, but he has struggled at times this season; averaging a disappointing 6.32 rating for his performances in the Premier League.
The England Under-21 international’s only goal for the club came in a 3-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but with the 19-year-old having made just six appearances in the Premier League, you could argue that he hasn’t been given many opportunities to impress.
Do you think Sessegnon needs a loan?
Yes
No
A sample of tweets from Spurs fans discussing Sessegnon can be seen below.
Yea he’s got the pace, skill and mentality to go far but he’s not a LB imo and he will never start over Son unless injured or gone

At left wing back I never thought he was that bad tbh but don’t think we’ll play that formation much. Have been impressed with him as a left winger although we do have a good set of wingers already unfortunately

Looks out his depth in the premier league

Massive risk buying him we needed players to come in and make an instant impact as squad so thin yes he has plenty of potential but has the got a the right head!

Sessegnon was poor for Fulham in the PL last season and has been poor for Spurs this season. He was a good player in the Championship a couple of years ago and that may be his level. Would send him on loan to another PL team in the summer.

LM/LWB in a 3-4-3 would work well but I don’t think Jose wants to play with a back 3. But could play w back 4 and have him go forward when shifting to back 3 when we have the ball instead of Aurier on the right. Don’t think he’ll play at LW unless Sonny is out.

These Spurs fans seem to think that Sessegnon has the potential to show a lot more, but has perhaps struggled in the Premier League so far.
What do we think?
Sessegnon showed in his Championship Player of the Year winning season with Fulham just how good he can be; as he contributed 16 goals and eight assists in the second division. He is still young and has plenty of time to develop into a quality player for the North London club.
