Spurs fans have been discussing Tanguy Ndombele after it was reported that Jose Mourinho is keen to give the Frenchman a second chance at the North London club.
According to the Daily Star (via Daily Hotspur), the Portuguese manager feels that once the 23-year-old has a full pre-season under his belt, he can become a genuine force for the Lilywhites. Since joining from Lyon for a club-record fee last summer, the midfielder has struggled with his fitness proving to be an issue.
In 19 appearances in the Premier League, the Frenchman has averaged a disappointing 6.76 rating, and has managed to complete 90 minutes just three times in the top flight. However, despite Mourinho’s scathing comments on the midfielder following Spurs’ last Premier League game against Burnley, it seems as if he still believes the former Lyon man can be a big player for the North London club.
Does Ndombele deserve a second chance?

Genius on the ball. Awful off it!. Shouldn’t take to long to sort that out really and then we have a player on our hands!

Properly settled might do better if he gets some of that podge off himself!

I sure hope he’ll give him a chance

How long does a player as expensive as Ndombele need to ‘settle’? He should have stepped up to the plate by now.

These Spurs fans seem to be split between thinking that Ndombele is a serious talent and needs more time, whereas others feel that he has had more than enough time to adapt to the Premier League.
What do we think?
If Ndombele can work on his fitness issues and start replicating some of his performances from the Champions League, where he averaged a 7.34 rating, in the Premier League, then perhaps Spurs fans will begin to see why the club paid a club-record fee to sign him.
