Spurs fans have been discussing the future of Hugo Lloris on Twitter after they were asked whether he should be starting in goal next season.
Spurs fan Marc BA shared a poll with fans on Twitter, asking whether the Frenchman should still be the starting goalkeeper next season, or whether the North London club should look to sign a new ‘keeper as his replacement. The poll has attracted the attention of plenty of Lilywhites supporters, who were quick to share their opinion on the 33-year-old.
Since signing from Lyon in 2012, the World Cup-winning ‘keeper has gone on to make 316 appearances for Spurs; keeping 108 clean sheets in the process. The French international spent much of the early season sidelined with an elbow injury, so has made just 12 appearances in the Premier League; averaging an impressive 7.04 rating.
What would you do with Lloris next season?
Start him
Sign a replacement and bench him

He needs to get out as soon as possible. Way past it now.

Been a great keeper for spurs over the years, but to mistake prone now for me… time for a change

Should’ve been replaced 4 years ago

Time to move on.

Tough one. World class but makes so many errors leading to goals which knocks team. Not a very good captain

How can anyone say back him, he makes horrendous errors way to frequently.

Anyone saying he should stay and we should back him is a joke… he’ll have one good game to three bad ones. Constant errors leading to goals, poor distribution, positioning on the line is horrendous(far too deep on his line) decision making poor and from corners he struggles.

These Spurs fans seem to think that Lloris is past his best now and the club should be looking to bring in a replacement.
What do we think?
Lloris really struggled in Spurs’ last fixture against RB Leipzig, with the £13.05 million rated man’s two mistakes arguably leading to the German side’s first two goals of the game, so perhaps Mourinho should be looking to bring in a replacement this summer.
