Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays news regarding Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze.
According to reports in the Evening Standard, Mario Gotze has announced he will leave Dortmund this summer, and while the outlet suggests West Ham as a potential destination for the forward, Tottenham were also reportedly interested in the 27-year-old over the January transfer window.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by TranSPURS on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they would like to see the club sign the former German international, while others have claimed that Gotze is no longer a worthwhile signing.

What do we think?
While many Spurs fans appear to believe that their club would be better off avoiding the signing of Gotze, the German forward is still just 27 years of age, and while he is not exactly setting the world alight this season, he is still performing admirably for Dortmund.
So far this campaign, Gotze has scored three goals in 13 Bundesliga appearances, in addition to providing one assist over his four Champions League fixtures.
As such, the £9.45 million-rated World Cup winner certainly still has something to offer, and with his announcement that he will be leaving Dortmund on a free at the end of this season, he may well be a signing that Spurs could afford.
