Alasdair Gold has produced an article on what he thinks Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield will look like next season and has split the piece into three categories.

They are the players he thinks will be leaving either on loan or permanently, the ones who will be sticking around and those he thinks will be arriving at the club.

How well can you remember these obscure Spurs players? - Who is this?

One of the players that Gold believes will be looked at and given a chance is Luke Amos.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan with QPR, is seen as a player that Spurs will have to decide on.

Do you want Amos to stay at Spurs?

Gold claims that Amos will be looked at closely by Jose Mourinho – as he had initially impressed Mauricio Pochettino two summers ago and was handed his Premier League debut by the Argentine.

The football.london reporter, though, mentions the anterior cruciate ligament injury that Amos suffered and claims that it ‘wrecked much of that season.’

Here’s exactly what he had to say:

“Mourinho is likely to take a close look at Amos who impressed Pochettino two summers ago and was handed his Premier League debut only to suffer an anterior cruciate ligament injury the next month which wrecked much of that season.”

What do we think?

Pochettino handed Amos his Premier League debut against Newcastle United and he played for two minutes, but then just two months later, he suffered the cruciate ligament injury, and he has not appeared for the first team since.

However, this summer could be make or break for his Spurs future as his contract expires in 2021.

The 23-year-old has made 26 appearances this season and managed two goals and no assists – so Mourinho might want to have a look at him over the summer.

We hope for his sake; he can stay fit and try and prove his worth.
