Spurs fans have been reacting to the reported news that Baptiste Santamaria, who was linked with a move to the north London club earlier this month, could be available for £13 million this summer.
According to AreaNapoli (via TranSPURS), the 25-year-old is keen to move on ahead of next season and could be available for a fairly cheap sum. It was suggested by the Daily Express that the Lilywhites have watched the French midfielder on numerous occasions this season.
So far this season, the Angers ace has been impressive in his performances in Ligue 1, averaging a 7.10 rating across his 28 appearances in the French top flight. Although it is impossible to predict how the financial side of football will look once the current viral outbreak has subsided, £13 million could well be a bargain for Spurs if they make a move this summer for the midfielder who has been likened to N’Golo Kante.
Would Santamaria be a good signing for Spurs?

Interestingly, the midfielder has been touted as the next N’Golo Kante.
To be honest I’d take him. He’s really similar to Kante supposdely and we really need that in our midfield.

It’s 100% the position we need most and surely the area that Jose will see needs fixed. He’s traditionally built his teams around that position.

Most of these Spurs fans seem keen on a move for Santamaria this summer and feel he would be a good addition to this squad.
What do we think?
Considering Spurs have lost two defensive midfielders in recent years, with both Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama having departed, it is a position they arguably need to strengthen this summer.
