Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that the club are targeting Norwich City defender Max Aarons in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider (via The Spurs Web), the North London club will commence talks with the 20-year-old when the market re-opens for business. The club have reportedly made the young defender their ‘top target‘ to fill the right-back position ahead of next season.
So far this season, the Norwich academy graduate has made 27 appearances in the Premier League, but has perhaps struggled to adapt to the Premier League after winning the Young Player of the Season award in the Championship last year – as Aarons has averaged a disappointing 6.52 rating for his performances, as per WhoScored.

One fan even suggested that Son Heung-min will be happy, which could be down to the fact that the South Korean was previously seen saying something to Aarons following Norwich’s clash with Spurs in January as transfer links emerged.
Good sign Sonny will be happy @lazqetjohnson!!! #COYS

This is the best news we’ve had for a long while

Would be good, but the concern is the left back position is it not. We only have Davies at LB, Danny Rose isn’t coming back…

These Spurs fans are clearly keen on their club signing Aarons this summer.
What do we think?
Although Aarons has arguably struggled at times in the Premier League this season, he is still only 20 years old and could be a great backup for Serge Aurier at right-back, especially if Kyle Walker-Peters ends up leaving the North London club this summer.
