Spurs fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest news regarding the club’s reported interest in Chelsea duo Willian and Olivier Giroud.
According to TEAMtalk (via The Spurs Web), the North London club remain keen on both players and will offer them contracts once their current deals with Frank Lampard’s side expire. Both Willian and Giroud are out of contract at Stamford Bridge and it seems as if Jose Mourinho will be offering them the chance to remain in the Premier League, bringing in two options on free transfers in the process.
So far this season, Willian has averaged an impressive 7.25 rating for his performances in the Premier League; having contributed five goals and five assists in 28 appearances. Giroud meanwhile, has only made nine appearances in the top-flight; averaging a 6.69 rating, but he did impress in Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Spurs back in February.
Who do you think would be the better signing for Spurs?
Willian
Giroud

One fan even suggested that Arsenal fans will be mad, which relates to the fact that Olivier Giroud used to play for the Gunners, so there could definitely be some hostility if he was to move to bitter rivals Spurs.

What do we think?
Both Willian and Giroud have a lot of experience in the Premier League and if they are perhaps primarily used as back-up options to the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, surely it can’t be a bad decision to bring them in on a free transfer.
