Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend after he tweeted his thoughts on Spurs’ lineup to face Chelsea from 2015.
Spurs tweeted updates from the 5-3 win from five years ago, and the 28-year-old was quick to comment on a starting line-up that included himself. Goals from Danny Rose, Townsend, Nacer Chadli and a double from Harry Kane were enough to defeat the league leaders.
In his time with the North London club, Townsend made 93 appearances; contributing 11 goals and 15 assists, before leaving to join Newcastle United in January 2016. The winger has struggled so far this season; averaging a disappointing 6.61 rating for his performances in the Premier League for Roy Hodgson’s side.
Would you take a prime Townsend back at Spurs?

These Spurs fans clearly appreciated the tweet from Townsend and are glad to see that he still thinks about his old club.
What do we think?
It is good to see Townsend joining in with the banter on Twitter and although he has struggled so far this season, hopefully, we will see the 28-year-old back to his best when the Premier League does resume.
