Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported news on Mauricio Pochettino, which suggests that the Argentine manager is open to holding talks with Newcastle United.
According to Football Insider (via Ricky Sacks), the 48-year-old will consider an ambitious approach from the North East club, should their takeover be completed. The former Spurs boss is a reported target of the prospective new owners, as they consider ‘top-tier’ managers to take over from current manager Steve Bruce.
Pochettino was sacked as Spurs boss in November, just five months after leading the Lilywhites to a Champions League final but a return to the Premier League now seems as if it could be on the cards.
If Pochettino joins Newcastle do you want him to do well there?

My heart just sank but think it always will when he’s being linked to a job but he has to get back to coaching at some stage but it’ll still hurt

Newcastle will definitely spend more money than Tottenham from now
Imagine Mauricio Pochettino winning anything in Newcastle, this will finally clearly state Daniel Levy is the problem

Most of these Spurs fans clearly aren’t too happy with the news on Pochettino, with many worried that he could well join the Toon.
What do we think?
It will be a statement of intent from Newcastle if they are able to appoint Pochettino and it will be interesting to see how quickly the Argentinian manager would be able to turn them into real challengers.
