Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some footage of Raheem Sterling’s disallowed injury-time goal from the Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City last season.
The English forward thought he had completed his hat-trick to send Pep Guardiola’s side through to the semi-finals after a crazy game at the Etihad Stadium, but fortunately for Lilywhites supporters, the goal was disallowed due to a VAR offside call. Mauricio Pochettino’s side would then, of course, progress past Ajax in the semi-final tie, before losing out to Liverpool 2-0 in the final in Madrid.
LastWordonSpurs shared the footage of the goal after it was originally shared by BT Sport Football, asking fans how they reacted to the crazy few minutes from last season.
Which game was more dramatic?
Manchester City 4-3 Spurs
Ajax 2-3 Spurs

Heart dropped but as a Tottenham fan, you knew the goal was inevitable. Then when it was chalked off, just speechless. Absolute rollercoaster of a game.

Was in the Stadium, nothing like it, from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs in seconds.

What do we think?
Spurs’ run to the Champions League final last season really was extraordinary when you consider their second-leg games against Manchester City and Ajax, with the footage really demonstrating how many emotions a football fan can go through watching their team.
