Spurs fans have been discussing former winger Aaron Lennon, after some footage showing the winger’s best moments for the North London club was shared on Twitter.
The Spurs Web shared a video of the 32-year-old after it was originally shared by Twitter user MBS and it has attracted the attention of a lot of Lilywhites supporters. Spurs signed the Englishman from Leeds in 2005 and he spent 10 years at the club before joining Everton in September 2015 on a permanent deal – having spent the previous season on loan at Goodison Park.
In his time with the North London club, Lennon, who is now valued at £2.7 million (as per Transfermarkt), would go on to make 364 appearances; contributing 30 goals and 77 assists, suggesting he was well worth the £1.08 million fee they paid for him. The former England international is currently at Burnley but has struggled for game time so far this season; having made just four starts in the Premier League.
Would you take a prime Lennon back at the club?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the video of Lennon can be seen in the tweets below.
One of my favourite players of all time at Spurs. And levy just spit him out like he was nothing in the end…. No wonder he ended up really struggling with his mental health. Cast aside by a club he gave so much too. #TheresOnlyOneAaronLennon

These Spurs fans clearly rated Lennon highly and continue to hold him in high regard for his performances during his time with the Lilywhites.
What do we think?
Lennon’s stats for Spurs suggest that while he was never prolific, he contributed a lot of assists and was an important player in their side. It is good to see that so many Spurs fans continue to rate him highly and give him praise, despite him having left the club five years ago.
