What do we think?

Following these reports regarding Hasenhuttl’s future at St. Mary’s, The Independent also published an article claiming that “reports of the Austrian having agreed fresh terms are premature”. This piece goes on to claim that while the Austrian coach is “held in high esteem by Saints’ hierarchy”, the club are not currently focusing on the manager’s contract.

While contradictory reports have been produced lately regarding whether or not Southampton and Hasenhuttl have agreed terms on a new contract, it might be fair to say that it appears as though the club may be interested in seeing the Austrian coach remain at St. Mary’s for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, it appears as though some Saints fans would also like to see Hasenhuttl remain at the club beyond his current deal, judging by the positive reactions that some supporters have shared in response to these recent reports.
